The Cambridge University Linguistic Society organizes a series of research talks throughout the academic year and strives to represent the diversity of topics, methods, and approaches which comprise the scientific study of language across a variety of fields and disciplines. The Society meets every other week during term time, attracting internal and external speakers from a variety of departments and institutions.
Society meetings are held on Thursday afternoons and 16.30 GMT. During the 2020-2021 academic year, we are suspending in-person meetings and we will be hosting all of our talks exclusively online. Participants are encouraged to actively participate and ask questions during the Q&A sessions following each talk. Please visit our membership
page if you would like to join, and please email us at email@example.com if you would like to deliver a talk or suggest a speaker. For a list of past talks, please visit our archive at Talks.cam.ac.uk.
