The Cambridge University Linguistic Society organizes a series of research talks throughout the academic year and strives to represent the diversity of topics, methods, and approaches which comprise the scientific study of language across a variety of fields and disciplines. Talks are typically scheduled for 16:30 BST on every other Thursday during term time, attracting internal and external guests from a variety of departments and institutions.
For the 2021 Michaelmas term (October-December), all of our talks will be hosted virtually via Zoom video meetings but we may resume in-person meetings later in Lent and Easter terms. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and contribute to the discussion during the Q&A sessions following each talk.
